- This solicitation is issued as unrestricted. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336611. The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans, has a requirement for a contractor to dry-dock and repair the Dredge Whe eler, an all steel, diesel propelled, sea-going, trailing suction hopper dredge. Length overall 408 feet, 3 inches; maximum breadth82 feet, 0 inches; minimum draft Aft21 feet, 6 inches; minimum draft forward15 feet, 6 inches; lightship displacement9, 876.25 long tons. Facilities must be available in the time frame of October 2007. Bidding shall be limited to those shipyards in the United States within 1600 nautical miles of the sea buoy at Southwest Pass, Mississippi River. Solicitation W912P8-07-B- 0044 is being issued as a Sealed Bid (IFB) and will be available on or about 20 June 2007. Prospective bidders are encouraged to examine the vessel prior to bid opening. Sealed bids will be due on or about Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 2:00pm CST. This r equirement will be procured as firm fixed price under FAR Part 14 /DFARS 214 Sealed Bidding and Master Agreements. A Master Ship Repair Agreement must be in place or executed prior to award. The IFB and all information pertaining to this acquisition will be made available electronically through the Federal Business Opportunities electronic posting system web link at http://www.fedbizopps.gov It is and will continue to be all potential bidders, responsibility to monitor the fedbiz website for any amendmen ts updates bidders library, responses to questions and answers as the government will not be maintaining a mailing list. It is incumbent upon all potential bidders to download from the fedbiz website.
