Description
The purpose of this announcement is to identify interested companies capable of providing services supporting the U.S. Critical Reagents Program (CRP). Services required include: storage and distribution, assembly, inventory management, packaging in accordance with military standards for Special Packaging Instructions, relabeling of immunochromatographic assay products with non-classified labels, and disposal of expired product in accordance with applicable state and federal guidelines. Relabeling r equires maintenance of a DoD facility clearance. Respondents should include a description of current or projected ability to perform cold chain management. The maximum anticipated capacity for cold storage of product is 18,000 cubic feet. The minimum an ticipated capacity for controlled room temperature storage of product is 3,000 cubic feet. The storage and distribution facility should be registered with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and applicable peronnel should have hazardous waste tr aining. Interested parties must furnish, in writing, factual information which clearly supports and demonstrates that their facility is sufficiently able to store, maintain, package and distribute CRP products to both OCONUS and CONUS locations. Addition al services sought include receiving and inspecting immunochromatographic strips and assembling the strips in accordance with Government specifications under controlled temperature and humidity conditions. The estimated requirement for preparing assemblie s is a total of 183,000 assemblies per year of three different configurations. Special tooling equipment and refrigerators will be provided by the Government as needed. The Government intends to conduct pre-qualification visits. Any information received in response to this Sources Sought Notice that is marked proprietary will be handled accordingly. This information may be submitted via mail, e-mail, or fax. All responses are to be submitted by no later than June 18, 2007 in order to be accepted for re view. The NAICS code is 493120 with a size standard of $21.5 million.
