- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice incorporated Provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001and 2001-23. The following FAR provisions apply to this acquisition 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items, and 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial Items, applies to the acquisition. Offerors shall include a completed copy of FAR provision 52.212-3. Offeror Representations Certificates Commercial Items, and furnish Offeror?s Federal Tax Identification Number, Central Contractor Registration Number, DUNS number FAR Clauses 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required Implementing Statures of Executive Orders Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes or offerors are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The USDA Forest Service is soliciting quotes or offerors for the following requirement: The Forest Service has a requirement to move equipment and materials from the vicinity of Moon Lake recreation area to Clements Lake in the High Uintas Wilderness, approximately 10,500 feet in elevation. Of the total number if items to be moved, there will be approximately 26 packaged pallets of equipment and supplies at approximately 4500 pounds (or less) each, including the 2 Challenger tractors at 4500 pounds each and the one Trackhoe at 4500 pounds. The attachments for the 3 machines should be flown separetly; the Forest Service will reattached to the respective machines once they are at the drop site. Estimated Start Work date for this project will be July 10, 2007. After the project is completed, the contractor will be required to return the machines and all other tools and equipment back to the landing area near Moon Lake. Note: it may be up to twelve (12) weeks before the project is complete; the Forest Service will contact the contractor to schedule this as soon as a definite date is known. Where intrusions within the recommended spatial and seasonal buffer zones, flights should maintain a minimum 1000 feet elevation and minimum 30 mph speed during overflights to minimize disturbance to raptors and raptor nest sites.
