- This notice is to upload modification and extend response time indefinetely. Item 0001: NSN: 1740-00-874-9337RN; Propeller Trailer; P/N 3400847-17. This Propeller trailer is used to transport the propeller of C-130 aircraft between the maintenance shop and the aircraft or longer distance, or to serve as a storage rack. General Characteristics: 100 IN. LG 79.88 IN. W 70.25 IN. H; 0.5 TN RATED CAP.; STEEL BODY 1 PROPELLER ACCOMMODATED 13.5 FT MAX DIA W/O TOOL COMPARTMENT; WHEEL ARRANGEMENT SINGLE AXLE, SINGLE WHEEL FRONT AND REAR MT; W/PARKING BRAKES, PIN COUPLER; W/O RETRACTABLE SUPPORT . This requirement is to establish a requirements-type contract as defined in FAR 16.5. The mechanics of this contract-type will involve the issuance of separate delivery orders specifying the Contract Line Item Number(s) (CLINs) in the applicable contract/option period. It will be set-aside 100% for small businesses. First Article (FA) will be required from anyone that did not provide this item to the Air Force during the last 60 months, with test plan and test report to be developed by the contractor and approved by the government. Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) for the basic year is 9 EA (FA included). The requirement also includes 3 option years each with a BEQ of 3 EA for the first year and 2 EA for the remaining two years. All assets will be shipped FOB Origin, with the exception of the Test Plan and Test Report, if applicable. Offerors shall prepare their proposals in accordance with mandatory, explicit and detailed instructions contained in the RFP. The Government will utilize the Past Performance Information Retrieval System (PPIRS), and will evaluate proposals and make award in accordance with the evaluation criteria stated in the RFP. OFFERORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO REVIEW THEIR DATA FOR ACCURACY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or around 22 May 2007. The RFP will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage (http://www.fbo.gov/ ). NO HARD COPIES WILL BE PROVIDED. The technical data required to respond to the RFP may be obtained at the FEDTEDS webpage (https://www.fedteds.gov/). All vendors are required to register via FEDTEDS for an account in order to access the technical data.
