Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 1. In order to give more time to vendors to revise their quotes, and to answer vendors questions in regards to this procurement Decide to extend this procurement of Cubicles to 10 AM 11 JUN 2007. 2. More detailed description Cubicles must be equal to or greater (See FAR clause 52.211-6) 12 each  8-0 x 8-0 cubicles in configuration shown in attached drawing. Panels must be compatible with Herman Miller ? Action Office 2 system to allow integration to existing cubicles. Panels must be 67 high. Each cubicle must have the following; 24 deep corner desk with ability to add optional under desk keyboard holder. Two 24 deep side desks, each with a pedestal. Pedestals must have two small drawers and 1 large drawer for holding files. One desk must also have an under desk pencil drawer. Two overhead shelves/cabinets with lockable doors. Overhead cabinets must hav e below shelving lights to illuminate desk below. Panels must have large, hidden raceway along bottom to allow phone, data and power cabling to be installed unseen. Cross-sectional area of raceway must be a minimum of 12 square inches. 4 Power Poles drops must be included to allow each group of cubicles shown in the drawing to be connected to power and communications. Fabric must be UL listed and fire rated. Color must match Cube Solutions Slate Gray. Contract must include professional installation to ensure manufacturer warranty is not voided. 3. EXPLANATION OF DEPARTMENT OF ARMY PERSONNEL REPORTING SYSTEM (a) References: Secretary of the Army Memorandum Accounting for Contract Services dated 7 Jan 2005. (b) Description: The Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Manpower & Reserve Affairs) operates and maintains a secure Army data collection site where the Contractor will report ALL contractor personnel (including subcontractor personnel) require d for the performance of this contract. (c) Delivery Instructions: The Contractor is required to completely fill in all of the information in the format using the following web address: https://contractormanpower.army.pentagon.mil. (d) Preparation Instructions: The required information includes: (1) Contracting Office; Contracting Officer; Contracting Officers Technical Representative; (2) Contract Number; including task and delivery order number; (3) Beginning and ending dates covered by reporting period; (4) Contractor name, address, phone number, e-mails address, identity of contractor employee entering data; (5) Estimated direct labor hours (including sub-contractors); (6) Estimated direct labor hours paid this reporting period (including sub-contractors); (7) Total payments (including sub-contractors); (8) Predominant Federal Service Code (FSC) reflecting the services provided by the contractor (and separate predominant FSC for each sub-contractor if different); (9) Estimated data collection cost; (10) Organizational title associated with the Unit Identification Code (UIC) for the Army Requiring Activity; (11) Locations where contractor and sub-contractors perform the work (specified by zip code in the United States and nearest city, country, when in an overseas locations, using standardized nomenclature provided on the website); (12) Presence of deployment of contingency contract language; and (13) Number of contractor and sub-contractor employees deployed in theater this reporting period (by country). As part of its submission, the Contractor will also provide the estimated total cost (if any) incurred with this reporting requirement. Reporting period will be the period of performance not to exceed 12 months ending September 30th of each Government fiscal year and must be reported by 31 October of each calendar year. Contractors may use a direct XML data transfer to the database server or fill in the fields on the website. The XML direct transfer is a format for transferring files from the Contractors systems to a secure web site without the need for separate data entries for each required data element at the web site. The specific formats for the XML direct transfer may be downloaded from the we b site. (End of clause) 3. list of the questions , that we have received from vendors: 1. What are the panel heights? (GOVERNMENT ANSWER): 67 2. What is the panel finish? Fabric Specs? (GOVERNMENT ANSWER): Paint Trim is Dark Tone and fabric is Slate Gray I dont have any specifications. 3. One space seems to have a column in it, no work surfaces are shown. Is that correct? (GOVERNMENT ANSWER): That is correct. 4. Are there any other features to the cubicles besides panels and work surfaces? (GOVERNMENT ANSWER): Shelves, cabinets, drawers, and files are according to attached requirements. No chairs are required. (I.e. shelves, cabinets, files, chairs etc) 5. Can you please provide the following information if possible: How tall your end-user would like the panels? (GOVERNMENT ANSWER): 67 7. Would they would like any storage? File drawers, keyboard trays, overhead shelves/cabinets, etc? (GOVERNMENT ANSWER): Shelves, cabinets, drawers, and files are according to attached requirements. No chairs are required. 8. I am inquiring in regards to the Solicitation #W911S07T0059-0001. We are working on the quote but We are missing the following information: *Types of panels paint trim is dark tone and fabric is slate gray *Panel Height (GOVERNMENT ANSWER): 67 *Will there be Overheads/Shelves (GOVERNMENT ANSWER): Shelves, cabinets, drawers, and files are according to attached requirements. No chairs are required. *Is filing needed and what types (GOVERNMENT ANSWER): yes; please read specifications? *Grade to be priced in (GOVERNMENT ANSWER): Not clear questions please revised and send pack or contact me by phone or email in order to explain. *Electrical (how many duplexes) (GOVERNMENT ANSWER): Two outlets per cubicle 9. We are working on a proposal for the solicitation W911S607T0059-000. Can you please let us know if the panels for the cubicle will require electricity, and if they do will it be needed at the bottom or at desk level? (GOVERNMENT ANSWER): Two outlets per cubicle at bottom. 10. Can you please provide drawing of the Cubicles?
