Description

This project consists of placing a 2 inch compacted hot asphalt concrete pavement overlay on the existing surface of approximately 4.48 miles of the Harris Springs Road 43N15. Other items will include applying a seal coat and stripping. SPECIAL CONDITIONS AFFECTING THIS WORK: This project will require coordination with Sierra Pacific Industries, other private land owners, and government contractors that use this road for commercial haul. Traffic controls will be required. One lane shall be kept open to controlled one way traffic. Traffic delays will not exceed 30 minutes. PROJECT LOCATION: Project is located on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, Shasta-McCloud Management Unit, McCloud Ranger District, Siskiyou County, California. From Redding, travel north approximately 50 miles on Interstate Highway 5 to State Highway 89. Proceed east approximately 30 miles to the Harris Springs Road 43N15 and the beginning of project. PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A pre-bid conference is not scheduled. ESTIMATED START WORK DATE: Approximately August 1, 2007. CONTRACT TIME: 30 calendar days. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. BONDING IS REQUIRED of the successful offeror at time of award. A bid guarantee is required with offeror?s submitted proposal. The solicitation will be available for downloading from this website on or about 07/19/2007, close of business.
