Description

The Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Washington, intends to acquire by contract repair of Forest Service Road No. 25. The contract includes: asphalt skin patching; minor realignment; production and placement of aggregate; removal and replacement of road fills; asphalt surfacing; structural repairs; and replacement of culverts and other drainage appurtenances. Solicitation requests proposals for performance of the work with a four-week, weekday road closure. During the authorized road closure, the road must be open from 12:00 noon , on Friday, until Monday morning. Work within the quarries and waste areas will be allowed on the weekends. Offerors may submit an alternative proposal that does not require any road closure. The performance period for construction is 101 days. Estimated start date is August 01, 2007. Project location is Forest Service Road No. 25, near Randle , Washington . The government will proceed to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) Solicitation set aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Offerors will be evaluated on price, experience, past performance, and the impact on the public. Contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. The government estimated value is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
