Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as a request for quotes. Vendors are encouraged to submit quotes for the following item: CLIN 0001, Provide to the Government one excavator in the 95 to 110 t housand LB class machine. The excavator must be equipped with standard track, minimum 23 boom with a 15 arm and a general purpose bucket. The rental facility will be responsible for delivery to the Governments facility in Fountain City WI. and the return of the rental excavator to the rental facility at the end of the rental period. The excavator must have a functioning back-up alarm and necessary lighting for night operations. All safety equipment installed must be in good operating condition at the time of delivery. The excavator must be delivered in good working condition to the Fountain City Service Base in Fountain City, WI no later than 15 June 2007. A representative from the rental facility must be available when the excavator is delivered to assist Government personnel with a pre-use inspection of the rental excavator and to provide instruction in preventive maintenance checks and services that should be performed by the Government during the rental period. The rental contract is estimated to run f rom 15 June 07 through 15 Sept 07 with an option for up to two one month extensions. The billing method must be clearly defined by the contractor as to the maximum number of hours allowed in the monthly rate and the cost per hour of hours over and above th e monthly limit. The Government will provide routine maintenance, including, oil and filter changes and lubrication at the intervals prescribed by the manufacturer. The contractor shall supply to the Government necessary filters and the Government will pro vide the oil and grease needed. The contractor will be responsible for all other maintenance and repairs needed. The hours of operation at the Governments facility are 0700-1530 Monday Through Friday, closed weekends and all federal holidays. The solicita tion document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-14. The following FAR and DFAR clauses and provisions apply: the provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial applies to t his acquisition; 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items; offerors are required to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, with its offer; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Condition s Required to Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Full text of a clause of provision may be accessed electronically at http://farsite.hill.af.mil. Vendors are required to be registered in the Central Con tractor Registration (CCR) database located at http://www.ccr.gov. The government intends to award to the lowest technically acceptable priced offeror who can meet the delivery requirement of 15 JUN 2007, FOB Destination. The government retains the right to cancel this solicitation if quotes received are not in the best interest of the government. Telephonic inquiries will not be honored.
