- AMENDMENT NOTICE: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 150D001498 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 05-15. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 322233 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This requirement is a [ Service-Disabled Veteran Owned ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2007-06-08 15:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com. FOB Destination shall be Springfield, VA 22153 The US Patent & Trademark Office requires the following items, Brand Name or Equal, to the following: LI 001, *Recycled Copier Printer Paper: 8.5 x 11 - 20lb - 10m - S White Wove - 5,000 sheets per box - HP Digital or Equal. Must be 30% recycled. Must be at least 92% brightness. **Quantities will be determined by price. USPTO has allocated a maximum of $96,360.00 for this procurement and anticipates adjusting quantities so that the award will equal the funding amount. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. US Patent & Trademark Office is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, completed, real-time bids. All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. All boxes will not be delivered at one time. 2. Deliveries will be as called for. In truck loads of 840 or 880. 3. All vendors bidding must have the resources to deliver within a 1 day period, in the event of unscheduled needs. In this event, this will not be a full delivery but a partial one as specified at the time. 4. US Patent & Trademark Office Warehouse hours of operation are 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, however for paper deliveries, trucks must arrive in the morining and before 12:00 pm (noon), no trucks will be accepted after 12:00 pm (noon). 5. Please note on all partial deliveries the US Patent & Trademark Office will not pay additional charges for partial deliveries. CCR Requirement - Company must be registered on Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before an award could be made to them. If company is not registered in CCR, they may do so by going to CCR web site at http://www.ccr.gov. In this event, this will not be a full delivery but a partial one as specified at the time. Please note on all partial deliveries the US Patent & Trademark Office will not pay additional charges for partial deliveries. &A: Q1. Normal deliveries will be by the truck load, correct? A1. A normal delivery is a truckload, but partial deliveries might be requested. Q2. Is there a normal lead time for requesting deliveries, i.e., 1 day, 1 week, 2, weeks, etc.? A2. Normal lead time for requesting deliveries would be 1 week, but again the requirement states there might be a need for a 1 day turn around time. Q3. Is there any provision for price increases during the contract period or must this bid cover the entire contract period? A3. The bid must cover the entire contract period. Deliveries will be called for over an approximate 6-9 month timeframe. Repost Clarifications: Sellers must bid a minimum of 92% brightness.
