Description
Proposals are due no later than 15 June 2007 at 1600pm (Japan Standard Time). Proposals must be to TSgt Robyn Moore at robyn.moore@kadena.af.mil, or faxed to Commercial 011-81-611-734-1761. The following questions have been asked and answered concerning RFP FA5270-07-T-0039 Question 1: What design standard (EIA/TIA-222-F or G)? Answer: ANSI/EIA-222-E, Ref. ROHN DWG#C870503 (or equal) Question 2: If F-code, what is the elevation at the tower base? Answer: FYI. 5 meter above sea level Question 3: If G-code, what is the topo category, crest height, structure class, and exposure class? Answer: FYI. Topo category: Close to the sea, Crest height: 324 feet, Structure class: Category III, Exposure class: Exposure B. Question 4: Are there any ice considerations? If so, what thickness and wind speed? Answer: No ice. Question 5: The requested wind speed of 62 m/s... Is this fastest mile or 3-sec gust? Answer: 3-sec gust. Question 6: Will the top-loaded guy wires be connected to each other in a tophat-like configuration? Answer: Top set of guy wires 58 feet from tower end be fastened to tower cross braces. Question 7: What is the max height above beacon? Answer: This Q means height restriction at Camp kinser area? Question 8: What are the guy radius constraints? Any drops/rises at the guy anchor locations? Answer: There are perimeter road, foreshore and property boundary, Existing guy anchor: 90 feet x 3, 175 feet x 3 from tower base. Question 9: What are the soil conditions? Answer: Sedimentary rocks (Marine or Non-marine) Question 10: Please specify a US design code equivalent that will meet the Japanese Scale Seismic Intensity 7 requirement.
