Description
PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Project supports the 176th Wing relocation to Elmendorf Air Force Base as required by BRAC (Base Realignment And Closure). Interested parties shall register at http://www.nationalguardcontracting.org/. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Contractor shall provide all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required to perform construction in accordance with specifications and drawings. Specs and drawings shall be available with formal solicitation no later than 22 June 2007. Formal solicitation package shall provide date for site visit and processes to obtain base access. The work consists of site clearing, grade leveling, and development of land. Tree removal as necessary and prepare land for construction of roadway s, parking lots, sidewalks, and utility systems. The required infrastructure includes: a road network; curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and parking lots as well as relocation of Airlifter Drive. Utility services required include: electrical distribution and service, natural gas, water and sanitary sewer, and fire protection hydrants and communications support. Existing systems require extension and expansion in order to accommodate new functions and an enlarged area where ANG occupied facilities will be loc ated. Construct utility lines from existing base entry points or loop connections to ANG facilities constructed on the North EDF Base Area. Lines should be underground where feasible and constructed of materials compatible with existing base systems. Sy stems will be sized to support current and future utility requirements. Provide connection capabilities and valves throughout the new distribution system additions so that new or existing buildings can be connected. Provide for road cuts and repaving as necessary as well as all other necessary support. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $10,000,000.00 and $15,000,000.00.
