- CANCELLATION NOTICE: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 20029474 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 05-15. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 321992 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2007-06-11 14:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com. FOB Destination shall be Multiple shipping information. The DHS-Customs and Border Protection requires the following items, Purchase Description Determined by Line Item, to the following: LI 001, United States Border Patrol Tucson Sector HQ, Ajo Station, Horse Patrol Unit Barn. VENDORS MUST MEET the following Specs -- Corrals: The corral railing will be at least 2 inches steel pipe. Coral railing will be at least 5? high. ? The corrals will be six-rail. There is less liability with a six-rail system; ? The dimensions of the corrals will be 12? x 24?; ? The barn will contain ten corrals (five on each side of the breezeway); ? The corral gates will be four feet with latches;------ Tack room/Hay room: ? The tack/hay rooms will be 12? x 12? each; ? The tack/hay rooms will be entirely enclosed with the exception of, at least, a six foot wide sliding door on each room.------ Breezeway: ? The dimensions of the breezeway shall be; 1. The height of the breezeway will be at least 12? at the center peak; 2. The width of the breezeway will be at least twelve? at the middle. ------- Supports: ? Uprights or supports will be 3? x 3? wide and will be placed one every 12? down the breezeway and out to 12? to the end of the roof minus the overhang. ------- Roof: ? The roof will be 20? 1? on each side. The pitch will be 2:12; ? The roof will be protected on the ends with U channel; ? The roof will be covered at the peak. --------- Gates: ? Gates will be 4? wide; ? Gates will be made of the same material as the corral railing and at the same dimensions (i.e. 2? pipe). EXTENDED SPECIFICATIONS MAY BE EMAILED TO CLIENTSERVICES@FEDBID.COM , 1, Lot; For this solicitation, DHS-Customs and Border Protection intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. DHS-Customs and Border Protection is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, completed, real-time bids. All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. There is no cost to register, review procurement data or make a bid on www.FedBid.com. Offerors that are not currently registered to use www.FedBid.com should proceed to www.FedBid.com to complete their free registration.
