Description
Washer Extractor, 100 lb. - 4 each; Dryer, 120 lb. - 5 each, in accordance with the following specifications: 1.0 General: The contractor shall provide but not limited to all tools, labor, equipment, final connections, materials, testing, and start up necessary to provide and install all fabric washer extractors and dryers within Building #38 of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), 1300 W. Richey Ave., Artesia, New Mexico 88210 in accordance with this specification. 1.1 All Washer Extractors and Dryers shall be manufactured within the United States of America, provide the equipment FOB from the factory, and be installed by factory authorized technicians in accordance with factory recommendations and recognized industry standards. The contractor shall be responsible for all unloading from shipping vehicle to the installation site, to include; un-crating, setting, leveling or grouting. 1.2 All Washer Extractors and Dryers shall be serviced by factory authorized technicians within 8 hours upon verbal or written notification of equipment malfunction and/or installation defect during the warranty period for a minimum of 1 calendar year from full equipment start up/operation, or within initial baseline service agreement(s). 1.3 The vendor shall in addition as part of an initial service agreement provide and schedule with FLETC contractor operations staff a minimum of 4 service trips (Quarterly) to the new operational equipment to ensure proper operation. 1.4 The vendor shall as part of initial start up, scheduling, and operational testing, shall coordinate with other vendors such as; construction contractor regarding utilities start up, and soap and chemical providers for controls interface/programming. 1.5 The vendor shall provide a minimum of 40 hours of on-site user training to FLETC operating staff for equipment provided in equipment operation and programming, loading, unloading, sorting, and other logistical steps such as proper weight distribution and laundry transport, prior to full start up of operations. 2.0 Extractors shall contain the minimum configuration operating features: 2.1.1 Factory intergraded heavy duty welded steel, hard mount frame and suspension system, and enclosed in a stainless steel cabinet. 2.1.2 Fully programmable factory digital microprocessor controls with PC interface capability, key lockout program feature, emergency stop pushbutton, and a minimum of 30 programmable cycles. 2.1.3 Power shall be from a factory installed three phase electrical drive motor fed from single phase alternating current inverter, with all other control circuits operating at 24VAC or less. 2.1.4 Extractors shall have a minimum of three (3) variable washing speed cycles of low, medium, and high with the ability to achieve a minimum of 300 G-force or better at maximum extraction speed. 3.0 Dryers shall contain the minimum configuration operating features: 3.1.1 Factory intergraded heavy duty welded steel, free standing soft mount frame and suspension system, and enclosed in a factory painted steel cabinet. 3.1.2 Power shall be from a factory installed three phase electrical drive motor with all other control circuits operating at 24VAC or less. 3.1.3 Fully programmable factory digital microprocessor controls, with a minimum of 5 factory preset programs with dual timer control for drying/cool down cycles, on-off-reversing pushbutton, end of cycle buzzer and strobe light feature, temperature and RPM displays, and diagnostic display. 3.1.4 The Dryer(s) shall also include as a minimum a self-cleaning lint screen, lint compartment "door open" automatic safety shutdown switch, air flow and sail switches, and emergency stop push-button. This is a combined synopsis/request for quotation for commercial items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Freight charges and installation charges should be included in the quote. FAR Clauses 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 are applicable to this acquisition. The following clauses are checked: 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52-222-21, 52.222-26, 52-222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-1, 52.225-13 and 52.232-33.
