Description
This is the public notice for acquisitions over $10,000. The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Aircraft Operations Center (AOC), located at MacDill AFB, FL intends to issue a firm fixed price commercial item purchase order for a complete external aircraft paint job on a Twin Commander, AC-5000S, Strike fixed wing aircraft, FAA Registration N51RF, serial No.3298. Aircraft has approximately 10200 hours on the airframe. The job is for complete preparation and repainting of the aircraft. The delivery date is no later than September 30, 2007. Actual start and completion dates are to be negotiated between the Government and the contractor. It is expected that a request for quote to include the painting statement of work and evaluation criteria will be issued prior to June 30, 2007. Firms must carry the appropriate hull insurance of not less than $200,000 to cover the aircraft. Interested firms shall include, in writing, the company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and business size; a statement regarding their capabilities and qualifications to perform the required aircraft painting. All responsible small business sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. DOC, CRAD requires that all contractors doing business with this office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). No order can be made to a company not registered in CCR.
