- The United States Army Communications Electronics and Life Cycle Management Command (CE LCMC) intends to award a contract on a non-competitive basis under the Authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source to M.M. Reif , LTD 850 Albany Street, Roxbury, MA 02119. The proposed award will be a five year Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with one year option for production quantities of Dismount Battery Carrying Case (DBCC) in s upport of Current Force Army Fielding, and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)/Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). The DBCC is used along with the Long Range Advanced Scout Surveillance System (LRAS3). The LRAS3 primarily operates from a mounted configuration on b oth the High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) and Reconnaissance Vehicle (RV) variant if the Armored Vehicle (AV). The Dismount Battery Carrying Case (DBCC) is needed in order to carry extra batteries for use in the Dismount Battery Box (DBB) during dismount operations. The function of the DBCC will have five internal dividers to allow the soldier a one handed carrying capability for six rechargeable BB390A/U batteries in individual compartment. It shall have a top cover with a 1 flap and zip per closure, a carrying handle, and an adjustable carrying strap that shall wrap around the bottom of the case. The top cover shall be hinged in the back. M.M Reif is the actual manufacturer of the Dismount Battery Carrying Case (DBCC). The Government doe s not possess technical data (drawing or specifications) completely defining the form, fit and function of the item being procured that would enable the Government to compete this effort.. The total estimated price of the proposed is $198K. A tracking num ber of W15P7T-07-R-M207 has been assigned to this effort. This is posted for informational purposes only.
