Description
The National Park Service, Pacific West Region, is seeking proposals for the design and build of two (2) eight-bedroom dormitories at Death Valley National Park located in Death Valley, California. This is a service disabled veteran-owned business set-aside. General drawings and specs will appear with the solicitation online at Fedbizopps.gov in approximately two weeks (15 days). This project will consist of the design and construction of a dormitory with parking and associated sitework, civil, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, fire alarm and fire detection systems to provide complete buildings. These buildings should operate efficiently and without unreasonable architectural, structural, mechanical, or electrical failure or deficiency throughout the expected life of the facility and shall meet or exceed the 2006 Energy Star Qualified Homes Guideline requirements as set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). These buildings may be stick-built or modular and award will be made based on best value to the government. Award may be made without discussions with offerors; therefore the offeror's initial proposal should contain the offeror's best terms for all items from a cost or price and technical standpoint. Offerors should submit proposals that are acceptable without additional explanation or information as the Government may make a final determination regarding a proposal's acceptability solely on the basis of the initial proposal submitted. Proposals will be evaluated based on quality (past performance, experience, qualifications of key personnel) and price. Quality is equal to price. A pre-bid conference/site visit will be scheduled (date and time will be in the solicitation in Section L.) NAICS: 236116 or 236117. Price range: $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. A copy of the solicitation will be available via the internet at www.fedbizopps.gov approximately 15 days after the announcement date. From that website, click on Find Business Opportunity. Under Search by solicitation/Award number enter the number. A screen will pop up showing the results of your search. When the solicitation becomes available, it will be shown as a title you can click on. Clauses and attachments, including drawings and specifications are in portable document format (PDF). To download and view these documents, you will need the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. This software is available free at http://www.adobe.com. A paper copy of this solicitation will not be available to requestors.
