Description: The US Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for rack space and services in conjuction with a high performance exchange point called StarLight. This service is known to be available only from Northwestern University Information Technology (NUIT) as the only provider of the service because networks have connections to the high performance exchange point called StarLight. It is located at the NUIT and provides space and Internet2 connectivity services. The USGS is aware of no other source who can provide the above. Therefore, it intends to make an award to NUIT, unless it is contacted by any vendor who believes it can provide the same service. Vendors are invited to contact the Contracting Officer, vfloyd@usgs.gov no later than 6/19/2007 with an affirmative answer.
