Description
Provide all labor, tools, materials, and equipment to perform the following at USCG SFO Galveston, TX: Remove and replace (2) 3 1/2 Ton air handling units in the Barracks Building. Remove the ID Building externally mounted air conditioner. Replace unit in-kind with an on hand unit supplied by SFO Galveston. Remove and replace (2) 10 Ton air handlers AHU-1 and AHU-2,and one Heat Pump unit (HP-1) in the Blackthorn Building. Remove AHU-1, HP-1, GAHU-4/CU-4, and selected ductwork in the Industrial Building. Install a new roof mounted AC unit (RTU-1), new GAHU-4/CU-4, new AHU-2/CU-2, associated ductwork,and Exhaust Fan EF-20. At the Administration Building: - Provide one temporary office trailer with AC and restroom, for six people. - Provide temporary 3 Ton AC for the Frame Room. - Install a 13 foot x 18 foot metal building over the existing outside equipment concrete pad. - Remove and replace the equipment pad components, including (2) pumps, (1) 236,000 BTUH hot water gas fired boiler, hot water and chilled water piping and valving, (2) two expansion tanks, treatment fill stations, etc. The chiller is to removed and relocated off the pad. - Pressure test the HW and CHW underground piping from the yard pad to the Administration Building. - Remove and replace AHU-1 and all double wall supply air duct, all return air ducts, hot water piping, chilled water piping, and associated valves, suspended under the elevated first floor of the Administration Building. Replace the 20 Ton AHU-1 chilled water air conditioner including coils, etc.. - Remove and replace first floor supply ducts, selected VAVs (boxes, coils and controls), room thermostats, return air duct, diffusers, etc.. - Install (4) return air grilles on the second floor and attic Exhaust Fan EF-10. - Install a 3 Ton mini split AC unit in the Administration Building Frame Room and two 1-Ton window units on the first floor. This work requires a small build out of the exterior wood wall to provide space for the split system evaporator unit. - Install controls and panels as required to meet the Sequence of Operations. - Balance building air distribution to drawing CFM rates. Remove and provide electrical service to all work areas as shown: - Temporary wiring for construction and testing of equipment shall be provided. - Provide electrical revisions to the existing and new mechanical equipment. - Barracks Building first and second floor air handling units are to be replaced in-kind. Provide power and control conduit/wire disconnect and reconnect as required. - Blackthorn Building. One heat pump unit and two air handling units are to be replaced in-kind. Provide power and control conduit/wire disconnect and reconnect as required. Provide a new installation of three-phase motor protection relays to the two existing AHU combination motor starter/disconnect switches to protect the motors on phase loss, phase rotation, and voltage unbalance. - Administration Building. The 7.5Hp air handling unit is to be replaced with a larger 10Hp unit. The equipment pad is to be completely renovated. Provide new electrical power and control wiring to a new split A/C unit system for the1st Floor Frame room. Provide an electrical 120VAC connection to a new attic fan, located at the South end of the attic. - Administration Building HVAC Controls: Provide conduit and wiring for basically the following systems as per Drawing M-8 & approved HVAC system control shop drawings: A.) Wiring of AHU-1 fan starter with control interlock wiring. Provide a new NEMA-4X combination motor starter/disconnect with control devices and motor protection relay as per drawing E-2. B.) Wiring of the new replacement AHU-1 chilled water 3-way valve motor and controls. C.) Wiring of the 120VAC bypass damper motor and PS1 control chain. D.) Wiring of new 24VAC VAV box air valve controllers, room thermostats, and HW 3-way valves. E.) Wiring of CHW and HW pumps at the mechanical equipment building/pad. F.) Wiring of HW boiler safety and operating controls at the mechanical equipment building/pad. G.) Wiring of chiller water flow interlock feature with the existing packaged liquid water chiller, etc. - Industrial Building EST Shop, space #115. Provide demolition work to the existing split A/C system to permit removal. Provide new 480 VAC, three-phase, power and control conduit and wiring to a replacement rooftop factory packaged RTU-1 (Roof Top Unit). - Industrial Building EST Storage Room, space #111. Provide electrical power and control conduit and wiring to a new 208 VAC, single-phase split A/C system, AHU-1 and CU-1. - Industrial Building Electrical Shop, space #110. Provide existing power and control conduit and wire disconnect and reconnect to new replacement GAHU-4 (120 VAC, single-phase) and CU-4 (480 VAC, Three-phase) A/C equipment. - All conduits installed on the exterior of the building shall be Rigid Metal Conduit PVC Coated. Estimated construction price range is $250,000 and $500,000. Performance period is 150 calendar days. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. The applicable North American Industry Class System (NAICS) 2002 code is 236220. The small business size standard is a three-year averaged annual gross receipt of $31.0 million.
