A revised Statement of Work has been posted on the DOC homepage http://sill-www.army.mil/doc/ All references to the 4th Floor of Building 4700 are deleted.Change marks to the Statement of Work are in the left hand margin.Contractors must acknowledge this modification when submitting a bid response.QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS(SET III)Solicitation W9124L-07-T-0053DOL/DFAS ST. LOUIS FURNITURE MOVE1.Question:Contractor shall provide poles and one (1) cubicle pigtail per six (6) work stations. Unicor will not s ell to us as they only sell to the Federal Government. Therefore, we can wire the work stations per this plan using existing poles and pigtails found in St Louis, but the Government will have to procure any shortfalls. Can I disregard the wording which imp lies we are to provide poles and pigtails, and focus instead on the Government's desire that the wiring be 1 per 6 stations? Answer:Contractors may not disregard the wording which states that contractors are to provide poles and pigtails. Contractor shall wire the work stations per this plan using existing poles and pigtails found in St. Louis. The Government expects wiring to be one per six workstations. Contractor will provide what is available at the current location in St. Louis. Unicor sells to the Federal Government only. The Government will address shortfalls as a separate issue. 2.Question:Move to location is bulding 4700, Mow-Wat St., Fort Sill, OK 73503, 3rd and 4th and 1st floors. I have only received drawings for the basement, 1st and 3rd f loors. I understand I am to disregard the basement, so I am looking for the 4th floor drawing. I cannot accurately assess what is to be installed without the 4th floor drawing. I would be guessing, which could lead to an apples to oranges bidding situation . What do you advise, so that the bidding playing field be level for all offerors? Answer:Location of Building 4700 is on Mow Way St., Fort Sill, OK. The 4th Floor requirement has been deleted by Amendment 5. 3.Question:The Government expects 8x10 and 10x 10 configurations for the 3rd and 4th floors. 7x10 and 6x8 configurations are expected for the 1st floor. The vast majority of product available in St Louis are in 3 foot increments which is to say the 8x10s will wind up being 9x9s and the 10x10s will be 9x12s; otherwise, you will wind up with too many excess 36 inch corners and too few 3624 rectangles. To ach ieve maximum number of stations using existing product, we recommend 9x9s and 9x12s. Is this acceptable to the Government? Answer:The 4th Floor requirement is deleted by Amendment 5. Contractor may include the 9x9 and 9x12 configurations with proposal. C ontractors are encouraged to submit a Design Plan Layout with their proposal. The Government will evaluate each proposal in accordance with Best Value determination factors.4.Question:All baseboard electrical connected between cubicles... The contractor w ill pull the cable set .... The contractor will label each faceplate...We understand our only responsibility here is to wire the electrical to the stations as noted, but that DOIM will be be handling all the voice and data requirements.
