- The Vicksburg National Park intends to award a contract on a set aside (Small Business) basis a project entitled Crack Sealing on Vicksburg National Military Park on Confederate and Pemberton Avenues, adjacent parking lots and gutters. Confederate Avenue, Pemberton Avenue, parking areas and gutters are concrete, constructed in the 1930's. The NAICs Code on this project is 234110. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, fuel, transportation, management, and tools necessary to perform crack sealing of expansion joints and stress cracks. Contractor shall field-verify all existing conditions, dimension of cracks and difficulty affecting the work of this contract, which includes amount of crack seal material, backer rod and traffic control. Traffic control will be a major component of the contract due to the fact that the contractor cannot completely close the road and will be in constant contact with the visiting public. The contractor will be allowed to close one side of the road for work. The contractor will be required to have personnel flag traffic in work areas where low visibility exists. Crack sealing material shall consist of a solid single direct or indirect fire material component capable of being self-leveling at application temperatures. Materials shall be composed of select oils, resins, polymers, plasticizers, stabilizers, and asphalt cement for forming a resilient and adhesive compound that will seal joints and cracks against infiltration of moisture and will not flow from the joint at ambient temperatures. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. This RFQ will be available for download at http://ideasec.nbc.gov web site o/a June 20, 2007 with a closing date of July 20, 2007.
