- The U.S. Census Bureau has a requirement to obtain the services of contractors to develop and complete multiple research projects being undertaken as part of a larger research effort. This research will provide input into the overall Housing Unit-Based Estimates Research Team (HUBERT) research project that will be used by the Census Bureau to make decisions about the methodology that will be used to produce an experimental series of housing unit-based population estimates. To satisfy these needs, the Census Bureau intends to award multiple purchase orders to source selected contractors. The value of the individual delivery orders will not exceed $25,000. The personnel offered by the Contractor must meet the following qualifications: * Be in the general fields of research related to statistics and demography and possess knowledge and experience in the development of population or housing unit estimates. Direct connections of proposed research to the cited listing of research topics is essential; * Be able to devote sufficient time to the project to ensure all requirements are met in accordance with the agreed to schedule; and * United States citizenship preferred, but not limited to United States citizens. (However, contracted personnel must satisfy security requirements to fulfill applicable requirement for on-site collaboration with Census Bureau staff if needed.) Contractors interested in participating in the selection process are invited to submit their quotations in accordance with the instructions set forth at the following website: http://www.census.gov/procur/www/housing-solutions. All quotations must be delivered to the U.S. Census Bureau no later than 3 p.m. (local time) on July 6, 2007.
