- The Department of Justice, Bureau of Prisons, intends to award a sole source procurement with Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government/Executive Education, for tuition fees for a Senior Managers in Government course, from July 29-August 17, 2007. The program is a three week course scheduled for two senior managers in the Bureau of Prisons. The staff members who are planning to attend will be entering the 3rd phase of a mandatory Bureau of Prisons leadership development course. The contractor will be able to maintain the continuity of the program due to the services being performed for other staff members and other phases of the leadership development program. Cost for each course: $13,500.00 The statutory authority is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The applicable NAICS code is 611310 (Colleges, Universities, and Professional Schools). Interested parties may identify their interest and must provide evidence of their capability to respond to this requirement by the close of business, EST, June 18, 2007. Any interested party must be able to supply the government with developmental to keep continuity with the other Bureau of Prison?s systems. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
