- Description
- The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Foray Technologies, 3911 5th Avenue, Suite 300, San Diego, CA 92103 for the acquisition of an Imaging System for Fingerprint/Photographic Program. The imaging system must consist of the following components in the following: (1) one imaging server system, (2) DVD autoloader, (3) one image acquisition workstation 1; (4) one image acquisition workstation 2; (5) Software for Client provided lap tops; and (6) on-site installation and support services. The imaging system should be shipped to and installed at the DEA Northeast Laboratory, 99 Tenth Street, Room 721, New York City, NY 10011. The proposed purchase order is for supplies/services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with Foray Technologies under the test program described in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Subpart 13.5 and under the authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been justified, certified and approved for Foray Technologies. The following FAR Part 12.3 provisions and clauses are applicable to this acquisition: 52.212-1 (Jan 2006) Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, 52.212-3 (Mar 2005) Offeror Representations and Certifications, 52.212-4 (Sep 2005) Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, 52.212-5 (Apr 2006) Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. Also, the full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at http://www.arnet.gov/far/. North American Industry Classification Sytem (NAICS) is 334111 and the Small Business Size Standard is 1,000. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to the requirement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotation. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) is not available. The closing date is June 28, 2007 at 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
