Description
This is a solicitation for commercial items to be acquired under FAR 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of any amendments or other pertinent information. Solicitation FA8751-07-Q-0355 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-17 and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement Change Notice (DCN) 20070531. This procurement is being issued as a total small business set aside under NAICS code 334119 and small business size standard of 1000 employees. The contractor shall provide the following items on a firm fixed price basis: Item 1: V440 SERVER Qty: 2 Part No: A42-XCB-08GD Manufacturer: SUN MICROSYSTEMS Description: 4x1.27 GHz, 8 GB memory, 4 x 36GB 10K RPM drives, DVD, 3 year warranty Item 2: INTERNAL HARD DRIVE Qty: 26 Part No: XTA-3510773GB10K Manufacturer: SUN MICROSYSTEMS Description: 73 GB 10K RPM FC-AL Disk Drive with 3510 Brackets Item 3: STOREDGE 3510 SERVER Qty: 1 Part No: 3510 Manufacturer: SUN MICROSYSTEMS Description: Dual raid controllers, no disk drives, 3 year warranty Item 4: INTERNAL HARD DRIVE Qty: 6 Part No: X5267A Manufacturer: SUN MICROSYSTEMS Description: 36.4GB 10K RPM Low Voltage Differential Ultra-3 SCSI with V440 Brackets Item 5: NETWORK ADAPTER Qty: 2 Part No: SG-XPCI2FC-QF2 Manufacturer: SUN MICROSYSTEMS Description: Dual Fibre Channel 2-Gb PCI Network Adapter Item 6: V440 SERVER Qty: 2 Part No: X5264A Manufacturer: SUN MICROSYSTEMS Description: 73GB 10K RPM Ultra 320 SCSI Hard Drive with Brackets Item7: GRAPHICS CARD Qty: 2 Part No: X3768A Manufacturer: SUN MICROSYSTEMS Description: PGX-64 Graphics Card Brand Name Justification: AFRL/IFSA's Command and Control Concept Center (C2CC) laboratory's Theatre Battle Management Core System (TBMCS) 1.1.3 program requires this exact equipment since the TBMCS platform is UNIX based and only this equipment has been certified for use for the current 1.1.3 build. The new release of 1.1.4, which was to switch to the Windows based platform, has been terminated at this point due to software program discrepancies. This equipment is required in order to prepare for the migration of TBMCS build 1.1.4. The estimated delivery date is 30 days after award. The place of delivery, acceptance, and FOB destination point is AFRL/IF, Rome NY. The following FAR, DFARS, and AFFARS provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items with the following paragraph addenda: (b) Written quotes are due by 3 PM Friday 29 June 2007. Submit to: AFRL/IFKO, Attn: Jacquelyn Fleet, 26 Electronic Parkway, Rome NY 13441-4514 or by facsimile to: 315-330-7513 or by email to jacquelyn.fleet@rl.af.mil. (b)(4) Submit a technical description of the items being offered. (b)(10) Past performance may be obtained by the Government from sources inside or outside the Government in order to determine responsibility. Offerors are not required to submit past performance information. (k) Central Contractor Registration. Offerors must be registered in the CCR database to receive a contract award. If the offeror does not become registered in the CCR database within five (5) days after receiving notification from the Contracting Officer, the Contracting Officer will proceed to award to the next otherwise successful registered offeror. 52.212-2 Evaluation - Commercial Items. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract as a result of this RFQ to the responsible offeror whose quote is the most advantageous based on price and technical capability. Both factors are of equal importance. 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items and ALT I must be completed electronically on the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
