- The purpose of this notice is to modify the pre-solicitation notice to change the response date of the solicitation. The Army Contracting Agency, Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE) at the Pentagon, on behalf of the U.S. Army Center of Military History intends to issue a solicitation for personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-per sonal services necessary to perform historical research services, as a small business set-aside. Interested small businesses that are certified and qualified as a small business concern in NAICS code 541611 with a size standard of $6.5 million will be co nsidered for award. Under this requirement, the contractor shall provide the following: (i) Senior-level analytical reviews of historical research, (ii) Conduct historical research and writing, (iii) Review and revise existing historical projects, (iv) Con duct and record oral history interviews, (v) Edit historical tomes in support of the Department of Defense Acquisition History research project. An Indefinite/Delivery, Indefinite Quantity, firm-fixed price type contract is contemplated. The period of pe rformance is a base period of twelve months and two (2) option years. The place of performance will be U.S Army Center of Military History, 103 Third Ave., Fort McNair, Washington DC. All prospective offerors must have a Commercial and Government Entity (C AGE) code and be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov. This will be an electronic solicitation release. Interested small businesses may download a copy of the solicitation at http://dccw.hqda.pentagon.mil/services /RFP1.asp, reference W91WAW-07-R-0004. No hard copies will be mailed. A written Request for Proposals (RFP) will be posted on or about June 20, 2007 for download on the FedBizOpps website Title: Historical Research Services. No offers are being requeste d at this time. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. All amendments to the solicitation will be posted to this FedBizOpps website. Contractors are cautioned to check this website for amendments. No solicitation mailing list will be compli ed. The contractor is responsible for all costs for producing and mailing their proposal.
