- Description
- The Seattle District Corps of Engineers has a requirement for a reusable cofferdam for use at Mud Mountain Dam to allow for dewatering and inspection of the 9-foot tunnel concrete entrance structure. The contract will provide for the repair of the f orebay as required. The forebay repairs and cofferdam removal must occur prior to 30 September 2008 due to flood control requirements. The principal features of the work include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Fabricate and install a structural steel support frame assembly. 2. Drive sheet piling cover and bolt piling to frames. (Installed assembly will measure about 38 feet wide by 30 feet high.) 3. Place grouted fabric forms or other approved method to seal cofferdam assembly. 4. Inspect and seal remaining leaks as necessary. 5. Dewater 9-foot tunnel forebay behind the cofferdam. 6. The government will inspect the forebay and the Contract will include Options for repairing damage to the forebay undersill and left training wall with typical repair details. Repair the damage in the forebay as required. The work is scheduled to be c ompleted Not Later Than 30 September 2008. 7. After completion of intake entrance repairs, the Contractor shall remove cofferdam assembly and deliver to the Government for storage. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. This procurement is a unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 237990 and the small business size standard is $31.0 million. Estimated cost is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Please be advised of on-line registration requirement in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database http://www.ccr.gov.
