Description

CTF Water and Sewer Phase 2- The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, supplies, and materials to construct a new water main and new sewer main with other associated work for the BLM Campbell Tract Facility in Anchorage, AK. The work will consist of the following: construction of approximately 4600 linear feet of water main of various sizes, longest runs of pipe are 16-inch and 12-inch DIP; construction of approximately 2400 linear feet of sewer main consisting of 8-inch and 6-inch DIP; connection of these mains to the existing municipal water and sewer systems and BLM buildings; demolition of existing water service pumps and tanks in the BLM buildings; reconstruction of roadways; removal and replacement of existing asphalt pavements, including leveling course and pavement markings; associated trench excavation, backfill and earthwork; traffic maintenance and control; removal and abandonment of designated utilities including the BLM waste water treatment system and lagoons; main electrical service upgrade; domestic and fire water booster pump systems; removal and replacement of access gates and fencing; restoration of all disturbed improvements; and other associated work as required. This requirement is a competitive 8(a) procurement limited or restricted to those eligible 8(a) participants serviced by SBA Alaska District Office and all 8(a) participants with bona fide places of business in the Alaska District Office servicing area (SBA requirement number 1084-07-705267). The estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The anticipated period of performance is 506 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Bonds will be required as follows: Bid Guarantee - 20% of the bid price, Payment and Performance bonds - 100% of the contract price. The solicitation will be available by electronic posting at www.fedbizopps.gov The solicitation will consist of a base bid and additives and award will be made in accordance with the evaluation criteria stated in the solicitation subject to the availability of funds. The drawings and specifications will be available only on compact disk. Vendors must fax a written request for the compact disk to 303/236-0590. Bidders will be required to print the bidding documents for submission of their bids. The solicitation documents will be posted on or about July 2, 2007. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
