Description

The principal components of the work consists of: 1) Modify or lengthen existing Suzie Peak Road concrete culverts as indicated on the drawings, 2) Strip topsoil from shoulders, ditches and backslopes. The topsoil shall be salvaged for use on the reconstructed road, 3) Earthwork for road subgrade realignment, widening and regrading, 4) Construct approaches and install government furnished cmp culverts, 5) Place salvaged topsoil on road shoulders and ditches, 6) Furnish and place 6 inches of aggregate base course on the reconstructed road, 7) Furnish and install misc. road signs, and 8) Seeding. The estimated price range of the work is between $250,000 and $500,000. Solicitation packages are estimated to be available on June 28, 2007. Requests should be received on or before July 13, 2007. The bid opening is tenatively scheduled for July 31, 2007 and will be held at the Rapid City Field Office, 515 Ninth Street, Room 101, Rapid City, South Dakota. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional copies will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitations may be viewed without charge, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, Room 2035, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana and the Bureau of Reclamation, Rapid City Field Office, 515 Ninth Street, Room 101, Rapid City, South Dakota. Prospective offerors desiring to visit the work site should make arrangements with Mr. Gene Harms, Rapid City Field Office, Rapid City, South Dakota, telephone 605-394-9757 ext. 3002. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The NAICS Code is 237310. The Small Business Size Standard is $31 million. The specifications and drawings will not be posted to the internet; however, a complete solicitation package is availabe in hard copy. To request a hard copy of the solicitation, contractors must fax a request to 406-247-7798, Attn: Hart BlackEagle. The requestor must include the contractor's name, address, phone/fax number, Federal Tax Identification and Dun and Bradstreet number. NOTE: Effective October 1, 2003, any contractor interested in doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
