- Description
- Child and Spouse Abuse, Sexual Assault, Discrimination and Sexual Harassment is a central registry for incident based reporting that supports the Family Advocacy Program (FAP), Equal Opportunity Advisors, and Headquarters Marine Corps. This program also provides data to DoN and OSD. The following is a Request for Information (RFI). This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposals. Responses to the RFI cannot be accepted by the Marine Corps to form a binding contract. The Marine Corps? purpose in providing an opportunity for industry comment is to identify potential problem areas, and provide alternative recommendations in order to enhance the success of any future procurement for these services. The Marine Corps believes industry feedback is important, and is receptive to any and all ideas from industry which would result in limiting unnecessarily constraining requirements, realizing cost savings, or highlighting potential technical or contractual problem areas associated with the initiative. Any comments provided should not be viewed as a vehicle for presenting a specific approach or product intended to be proposed, but as an opportunity to improve an eventual solicitation package. Comments are solicited regarding the following: Based on the needs of the Marine Corps, it has been determined that market research is needed to determine if sources exist capable of producing available solutions satisfying all requirements to the maximum extent practicable, or can be modified to meet all requirements to the maximum extent practicable. Currently, Marine and Family Services reports and forms must be assembled and completed by hand. Staff must physically go to their file cabinet, search through paper files, and then tally the records of client contacts. Each month (or more frequently in data call situations), staff must manually compile the data, enter the totals on a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, then email the file to Marine Corps Headquarters (HQ) or other interested parties. This is not only a cumbersome, manual process, but also circulates personal client information via email, creating vulnerability for unauthorized disclosure Replies are not mandatory. Replies will be separated from, and have no bearing on subsequent evaluation of proposals submitted in response to any resulting request for proposals or quotations. The use of comments received from industry to complete final statements of work and resulting solicitation documents will be at the sole discretion of the Marine Corps. Eligibility in participating in future acquisition does not depend upon a response to this RFI. The Marine Corps will not critique a potential offeror?s comments and does not intend to pay for the information solicited and will not recognize any costs associated with submission of the RFI. Proprietary information is not being solicited. Information considered proprietary, if any, should be identified as such. Responses to this RFI must be submitted no later than 29 June 2007 by e-mail to edward.mcgrail@usmc.mil. NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. NO EXCEPTIONS
