- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to post the following questions and answers. Also, schematics, specifications and drawings are available for this requirement via e-mail. In addition, the closing date for this requisition is hereby extended to 21 June 2007, 4:00 pm local time. If there any questions regarding this amendment, or if you would like a copy of the schematics, specifications or drawings, please contact the contract administrator, TSgt Timothy Estrada at (850) 882-0349 or timothy.estrada@eglin.af.mil. 1) We assume you want a vertical saw - please confirm ? A: Bandsaw to be very similar to similar to a DoALL C-4100A, which is a horizontal power saw 2) You state that a duplicate control station is required. We assume that this is in a safe zone. How far is it from the machine. In order to price the job, we need to know the length of the cable run. Please send us a drawing for this layout. A: New saw would be installed in the same vicinity as the old saw. See attached drawing. Blue line would be approx path of power and remote control wiring. 3) Do you need CCTV as well? A: NO. already in place 4) Is 3 phase power to drive the system available in the safe zone or the dangerous zone? A: It will be connected to the system in a remote mechanical room; 3-phase power is currently connected to the current system in the machining bay. 5) Do you need material roll-on and roll off conveyors or just a machine table A: Just a machine table ? Size and exact specifications of material to be cut o TNT, wax binder, and plastic bonded explosives with entrained metals such as aluminum, tungsten?.. o RDX, HMX, TMETN, TEGDN are present in many formulations that we machine o Desire ability to cut 20? rounds, however, DoALL model c-4100a is a comparable system which would suffice ? Production requirements o System will be utilized in the cutting of bare explosive charges. o Production throughput is dictated by the size of the charges, the type of explosive, etc. o Hinged saw (hydraulic) o 460 volt o System is not required to have hydraulic vise for holding material ? Saw Blade changing functions o None required ? Manual or automatic loading of materials for cutting o Materials will be manually positioned for each cut ? Chip removal system o No chip removal system required. o Water will be used as the lubricant. Flow washes chips to a common trough ? Equipment to be installed in the cutting room and remote control room o The controls can be knobs/buttons or touch panel o Cutting room and Remote stations to have: „X Hydraulic power on „X Hydraulic hinge arm down (band feed forward) „X Band start „X E-stop (hydraulic system off/power off) „X Hydraulic hinge arm up (band feed reverse) „X Band Stop „X LOCAL/REMOTE switch (control room only) „X Variable feed rate „X Variable band speed „X Feed advance readout (IN/MIN) „X Band speed readout (FT/MIN) NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (14-JUN-2007); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
