- This contract contains forest site prep and planting of the following: tree hardwood saplings; tree and shrub hardwood saplings; containerized longleaf pine seedlings scalping; and native grasses and forbes. Major items of work include: providing 39 acres of forest site prep which involves spraying herbicide where trees and vegetation is to be planted; and furnishing and planting of the following: 1,800 tree hardwood saplings; 1,500 saplings of tree and shrubs hardwood saplings; 14 acres of planting containerized longleaf pine seedlings scalping; and 6 acres of planting of native grasses and forbes. The performance time includes actual work time of approximately 41 calendar days. The contract period will cover approximately 180 calendar days. The estimated price is in the range of $25,000 to $100,000. This solicitation is subject to full and open competition. The NAICS code for this procurement is 111421. This solicitation will be available for viewing and/or downloading from website, www.fedbizzops.gov, on or about July 2, 2007. Interested parties are invited to attend a site showing on Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at the Dillion County Service Center, 106 West Washington Street, Dillion, South Carolina. After a brief meeting, a tour of the site will be held.
