Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), contemplates entering into a FFP contract IAW/FAR Part 15 with University of Michigan to continue an in-depth historical comparison of up to 42 cities and communities in the United States that were differentially impacted by the 1918-19 pandemic to assess: for non-pharmaceutical intervention studies. University of Michigan has captured the single largest database on the use of NPI during an influenza pandemic in 1918-19. To the best of our knowledge, no one else, in addition to the CDC, has access to or as much experience with this data as University of Michigan, Center for the History of Medicine, in Ann Arbor, MI does. Furthermore, University of Michigan recently completed a historical analysis of non-pharmaceutical interventions in the 1918-19 pandemic in the U.S. or the Department of Defense threat Reduction Agency. However, CDC will consider any other responsible source responding to this RFP. The anticipated period of performance shall be one year from date of award with 4 options to extend the contract of 12 months each.
