- In accordance with FAR subpart 13.106 (b) (1), the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), intends to issue, on a sole source basis, a purchase order to the FUNDACAO ARTHUR BERNARDES (FUNARBE), University Campus, Vicosa Brazil, in the amount of $60,000.00 for a co-sponsorship fee for THREE (3) training workshops on the Water PLUS Concept that includes the World Health Organization Water Safety Plans methodology. The co-sponsorship fee will pay for administrative cost, i.e. meeting space, logistical preparations, and printing. CDC?s participation in these workshop will further CDC?s mission by informing and promoting good environmental health practices in Brazil, as well as, fostering good working relation with U.S. government institution, national ministries of health and ministries of the environment, and international organization. Interested parties who feel that they possess the capabilities to provide this service described above should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to provide the service. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Documentation should be received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis to be considered by CDC. A determination by CDC not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the government.
