- C - Architect/Engineering Services Sources Sought Notice Laura Silguero, Contracting Officer - 414-902-5417 Provide Professional Architectural Engineering Design services for the Linen Distribution Program Relocation at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. The design shall include architectural, site, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and ACM abatement design. Work to include the demolition of a suspended concrete pool structure, and the construction of a new floor system. The work shall also include the removal and replacement of doors, wall covering replacement/repairs, flooring, ceiling tiles, plumbing work, electrical work, lighting upgrades, fire protection HVAC work and the buildout of new office spaces. Estimated construction cost is between $250,000 - $500,000.00. Area of consideration is restricted to 100 miles of the Hines VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. Submit two (2) copies of SF 330 with appropriate documentation by close of business July 13, 2007. Selection criteria will be based on: (1) specialized experience and technical competence of the firm (including a joint venture or association) with the type of design required, (2) specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project, (3) Professional capacity of the firm in the designated geographic area of the project to perform work, (4) Past record of performance on contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs, (5) Geographic location and facilities of the working office. The Small Business Standard is $4.5 million; and the Emerging Small Business size standard is half the size of a Small Business. This requirement is set aside for Emerging Small Business. No bid packages are available. This is not a Request For Proposal (RFP). NAIC #541330 applies. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
