Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W912L6-07-Q-1001 and is issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Fede ral Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-09. The associated North American Industrial Cloassification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334519. This requirement is unrestricted and only interested offerors may submit a quote. The Oklahoma Army Nation al Guard is seeking to purchase a Canberra Industries or equivalent Radiological Dose Rate and Survey Detector with software. The equipment must be equipped with: probes must be hot-swappable (connect, disconnect, and reconnect different probes without tu rning the unit off), waterproof (to 1 meter) housing and probe connetions, operate in chemically contaminated environments, sustain multiple decontaminations, display must have large LCD display for operator to read while in chemical protective gear, must have both visual and audible alarm, lightweight (16 oz or less without probe attached, ambient temperatures 20 degree F to 120 degree F, editable external probes alarm threshold values (with either unit or PC software), minimum of 10 alarm thresholds, data log capability of equal to or less than 1,000 data points (integrated dose, maximum dose rate, and thresholds), constant display of remaining battery power with visual low battery alarm, standard alkaline or lithium batteries with equal to or less than 80 hours of operaton on one battery set, detect the full range of alpha, beta, gamma, and x-ray radiation, measurement range of 0.03 mrem per hour to 10 rem per hour, energy range of 30 KeV to 2MeV, sensitivity of 8.3 CPS per mrem per hour, accuracy of minim um of plus or minus 10%, display response time of equal to or greater than 10 seconds for stable display of readings, detector of energy compensated Geiger Mueller, self testing automatic at startup and periodically when in use.
