- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial equipment prepared in accordance with FAR 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items as supplemented with additional information, included in this notice. This combined synopsis/solicitation issued by The U.S. Army and Aviation and Missile Command, on behalf of the Product Manager for USA TMDE Activity (USATA). This requirement is for the purchase of three Universal Length Measurement Systems to include installation assistance and system training for domestic U.S. locations and in Germany. This acquisition will be acquired by other than full and open competition from Mahr Federal, Inc., 1144 Eddy Street, Providence, RI 02905. Product/Service description is available upon request. Request deliver y within 15 weeks after contract award. Deliveries are F.O.B. origin, Inspection/Acceptance at destination. One (1) each to USA TMDE Support-Region 1, AMSAM-TMD-A, 5240 Technology Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201; One (1) each to USA TMDE Support-Region 2, TSC-Rock Island, AMSAM-TMD-B-LRI, Bldg 131, Gillespie St, Rock Island, IL 61299-7430; One (1) each to USA TMDE Region Europe, Pirmasens, AMSAM-TMD-E, CMR 434, APO, AE 09138. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The government contemplates award of a Firm Fixed Price purchase order resulting from this solicitation. The following provisio n apply: FAR 52.215-1 Instructions to Offerors-Competitive Acquisition; FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, FAR 52.212-2; Evaluation-Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-3; Offerors Representations and Certifications, FAR 52.215-4; Contract Terms a nd Conditions-Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, FAR 52.214-4, False Statements in Bids, DFAR 252.211-7003 Item Identification and Valuation. Per FAR 52.215 -1, the government may award without discussion, therefore offerors are urged to submit their best quote initially. Award shall be based on the lowest priced technically acceptable quote. The government contemplates award of a Firm Fixed Price Contract r esulting from this combined synopsis/solicitation. Quotes must be received no later than 12:00 pm CDT, local time on 5 July 2007.
