- Description
- The contract work requires dredging approximately 50,000 CY of heavy rooted aquatic vegetation and very soft to firm sediment that exists above the natural, dense sand bottom of Grovers Mill Pond. A confined disposal facility (earthen berms with a w ooden sluice structure), of approximately 12 acres, shall be constructed adjacent to the pond for placement of the dredged material. The dredge plant to be furnished under this contract shall be a portable hydraulic pipeline dredge with a maximum draft of 30 inches. Option 1 work includes constructing and installing habitat structures consisting of turtle-basking platforms and wood stake tree structures. All work must be completed by 15 November 2008. Due to environmental constraints which will be defi ned in the specifications, the confined disposal facility may be built after the Notice to Proceed through 30 November 2007 or 15 May 2008 through 31 July 2008. Dredging of the pond shall be performed from 1 August 2008 through 15 October 2008. Solicitat ion Number W912BU-07-B-0002 will be issued on or about 30 July 2007 with bid opening date of 30 August 2007. Estimated cost range of the project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The NAICS Code for this project is 237990 (SIC 1629) with a size standard of $18.5 million. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) homepage located at https://www.fedteds.gov/. Registration for plans and specifications should be made via FedTeDS Internet homepage and hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeDS before they will be allowed to download solicitation d ocuments/information. FedTeDS registration requires the following information: CCR Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN), DUNS Number or CAGE Code, Telephone Number, E-mail Address. It is the contractors responsibility to monitor FedTeDS for any amendments. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $25,000.00 are required by legislation (FAR 22.1310 (b)) to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans. All contractor s must be registered in the DODs Central Contractor Registration database as required by DFARS 204.7300.
