Description
The following is the corrected description for Presolicitation Notice (issued on 15 Jun 2007) for Solicitation W56HZV-07-R-0671: The US Army TACOM LCMC (Warren) will be issuing a request for proposal (RFP) for the acquisition of the level of effort of 3,120 man-hours for the basic effort and an option of 2,880 man-hours for the first year (base year) and four additional options of 6,000 man-hours for each year totaling 30,000 man-hours for the proposed contract. The man-hours will be used to support the US Army TARDEC Intelligent Ground Systems (IGS)Robotics R&D Activities as detailed in Government issued Work Directives. The c ontractor shall conduct workshops, conference sessions and Research and Development (R&D) of Intelligent System Technologies and perform virtual prototyping, modeling and simulation support to Weapon System Program Managers. The Robotics R&D shall include the following areas, indirect vision and teleoperations; unmanned systems safe operations; following and robotic convoy; vehicle actuation & control; communications & data exchange; payload integration & standardization; autonomous operations; robotics sy stems survivability; collaborative behaviors; power & energy; modeling and simulation. The period of performance will be five (5) years. The Government intends to award one (1) Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee Type Contract as a result of this solicitation. The RFP is being issued on a Full and Open Competition basis. The estimated release date of RFP W56HZV-07-R-0671 is 13 Jul 2007. The estimated due for receipt of proposals is 13 Aug 2007. The RFP will be available via http://contracting.tacom.army.mil/cfdata/sol/ sol01.cfm. Submit the proposal to the Government IAW with the RFP.
