Description
Dining Hall/Airmens Center, Cannon Air Force Base, Curry County, New Mexico. The proposed procurement is unrestricted, open to both large and small business concerns. NAICS is 236220/SIC 1542, with a size standard of $31,000,000.00. The magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. Offerors attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Plans will be issued on or about 03 July 2007, with bids due on or about 06 August 2007. Large business firms are required to submit a subcontracting plan with the following minimum goals: 51.2% for small business; 8.8% for small disadvantaged business; 7.3% for women-owned small business ; 3.1% for HUBZone small business; and 1.5% for service-disabled veteran-owned small business. Bidders are advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during the solicitation, or final award process, and is subject to th e availability of funds. THE PROJECT consists of the following: A new facility of approximately 28,000 square feet will provide co-located replacement facilities for the existing Dining Hall, Airmens Center, Post Office, and Linen Exchange. The facility i s designed to meet both the present and future needs if the Base, with dining expanded 400 seats, state-of the-art kitchen and serving facilities, enhancement of bulk storage operations and expanded Post Office and Linen Exchange space. The Airmens cente r is envisioned as a place of retreat and recreation for Airmen; a flexible environment to accommodate the ever changing social and recreation needs of the Airmen. Demolition associated with the new facility includes Building 1249, the current Post Office, Linen Exchange, Service Center Building and Building 1199, the Pecos Trail Dining Hall. The project includes all utilities, pavement, asbestos abatement, and landscaping and site improvement. THE PROJECT will be advertised as a Invitation For Bid.
