- The Office of Research Integrity (ORI),Division of Education and Integrity through Division of Acquisitions Management, Program Support Center (PSC), Strategic Acquisition Services (SAS) intends to award a sole source contract to University of California, Davis, Laboratory Management Institute 1850 Research Park, Suite 300, Davis, CA 95618. The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain an interactive, on-line course of study that covers laboratory leadership, management, compliance, health and safety, and ethics using a unique interactive instructional format. Downloadable student workbook includes behavioral objectives, background material, and references. The course of study shall include lectures, discussions, assessment and interactive instruction that can provide practice of skills in communications, innovation, team leadership, and resource management. The instruction is comparable to a 14 credit hour post graduate course of study. The project is designed to make formal training in laboratory management widely available to faculty, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and all interested in the scientific research field so that researchers can engage in self instruction and institutions can establish face to face instruction programs. The Office of Research Integrity and the Division of Education and Integrity are supported by the U.S. Public Health Service in promoting integrity in biomedical and behavioral research as well as promoting education and training for the responsible conduct of research intramural, extramural, and worldwide. The proposed requirement for which the Government intends to solicit only one source is under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested concerns may identify their interest and submit a capability statement to janet.glasz@psc.hhs.gov. within 5 days of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to complete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
