Description
The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) Milwaukee WI, intends to negotiate and procure on a sole source basis IAW Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, from AGFA, 10 South Academy Street, Mailstop #104, Greenville, SC 29601, the following system: VISN 12 Upgrade of the Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) System. VISN 12 has utilized the Agfa PACS system for the past nine years and has a maintenance agreement in place for the system. This new equipment will update the capabilities of the current system. It has been determined that Agfa is the only manufacturer who can provide the interface with the current Agfa PACS system and Data Center Storage System. NAICS 432450 with size standard of 100 employees shall apply. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures for the acquisition of commercial items utilizing the clause and provisions outlined in FAR Parts 12 & 13. Clauses stipulated herein may be downloaded via the internet at the following address: http://www.arnet.gov . This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. Any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer no later than June 19, 2007 as stated in publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements and include clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with AGFA.
