Description

This acquisition is a small business set-aside for 8(a) firm currently active under the 8(a) program. The 8(A) firm must be geographically located near the City of Bridgeport in Mono County. In accordance with FAR PART 36.209, no contract for the construction of this project will be awarded to the firm that designed the project or its subsidiaries or any affiliates. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. The Bridgeport Road project J51-691-218(332)2&3 is for constructing approximately 1.15 miles new road. The proposed work under this project consists of grading, drainage, graveling, paving and concrete curbs, gutters, and sidewalks of Bridgeport Roads. All work shall be perpormed in strict accordance with the specifications and drawing, the quantities listed, and the unit price applicable to each item in the Unit Price Bid Schedule. Davis bacon Wage Determination No. CA20070031 dated 6/8/2007 shall aplly to this project. PROJECT LOCATION. This project is located on the Bridgeport Indian Colony of Mono County, California. Prospective bidders are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. SOLICITATION DETAILS. The following preliminary details are provided for the benefit of prospective bidders, but are subject to change in the actual solicitation. Estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $1,400,000. Contract type: firm-fixed-price. Period of performance: 70 calendar days after issuance of notice to proceed. Solicitation type: Invitation for Bids. Prospective bidders must request a paper copy on or before June 28,2007. Request for Solicitation RMS00070009 is limited to the first 20 prospective 8(a) firms whom request is responsive to this notice. Request for soliciation recieve after June 28, 2007 will be rejected. Soliciation RMS00070009 will be issued June 29, 2007. Construction Plans and specification will be issued with solicitation. Bid opening date: July 27,2007 at BIA, Eastern Region Office, 545 Marriott Dr, STE 700, Nashville TN 37214. All prospective bidder may attend. Contract award date: within 15 days after bid opening. Award will be made at a fair and reasonable price to the responsive and responsible bidder whose bid conforming to the requirements herein will be the most advantageous to the Government,lowest price and other factors considered. Notice to Proceed date: within 10 calendar days after contract award. Required bonds: Performance and Payment bonds within 10 calendar days after contract award. OBTAINING A SOLICITATION. Prospective bidders must request a paper copy of solicitation RMS00070009 in writing and request shall be accompanied with a copy of the contractor's 8 (a) Certification Letter from the Small Business Administration. Fax request are accepted @ 615.564.6529. In such a case, a copy will be put in the mail. Telephone voice request will not be accepted. Request for solicitation which is not accompanied with the 8 (a) certification letter from the Small Business Administration will be rejected. FOR MORE INFORMATION.
