Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service requests quotes for Soil Removal from the Youngs Road Small Arms and Skeet Firing Range located in Washington County, Maine. The work consists of excavating, removing, and properly disposing of approximately 50 cubic yards of surface soil from the berm of the firing range. A site characterization report of the site will be included with the solicitation specification section. The Toxicity Characteristics Leaching Procedure (TCLP) analysis of the shallow berm soil was found to exceed the TCLP limit for lead, which requires that (when removed) the soil shall be classified as a hazardous waste for disposal purposes. Estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000. and $50,000. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 238910 (SIC code is 1794). The small business size standard is $13 million. This procurement is set aside for small business. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. Issue date will be o/a July 3, 2007.
