- PROJECT TITLE: Sacramento River Bank Protection, Phase II (Lower Sites, Sac RM: 16.9L, 47.9R and 48.2R; Steamboat Slough: RM 19.0R, 19.4R and 22.7R). The estimated magnitude of this project is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. This project wil l proceed under NAICS 237990 and FSC Z299, with a Small Business Administration Size Standard of $31,000,000. TYPE OF AWARD: This acquisition is being procured via Unrestricted Invitation for Bids (IFB), with any resultant award being a Firm-F ixed-Price construction contract. JOB DESCRIPTION: This project is for the repair and mitigation planting of 6 critical levee erosion sites along the Lower Sacramento River and Steamboat Slough. Work consists of but is not limited to: The placing of soil filled quarry stone by waterborne barge on the upper slopes of several erosion sites along both banks of the Sacramento River and the Right Bank of Steamboat Slough (NOTE: ALL EROSION SITE WORK PERFORMANCE WILL HAVE TO BE PERFORMED FROM THE WATER-SI DE OF THE LEVEE); in-stream wood; fascines; erosion control seeding; and the removal and replanting of elderberry shrubs. Option Items include the installation of plantings, plugs, beaver fencing, cages, pole cuttings, irrigation and plant maintenance. All BIDS will be due on/about 3 August 2007 at 1:00 pm (PST), at which time bid opening will occur. The acquisition method is Invitation for Bids (IFB). OFFERORS ARE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE SOLICITATION, SELECTION, EVALUATION, AND/OR FINAL AWARD PROCESS. ORDERING SOLICITATION: The solicitation will be available on or about 4 July 2007. THE EXACT BID DUE DATE WILL BE IDENTIFIED WITHIN THE SOLICITATION. Plans and specifications will not be provided in hard paper copy. The solicitation and all amendments for this acquisition will be posted on a secure Government website known as FedTeDS. Access to the solicitation documents on the FedTeDS website will be via a hyperlink.
