Description

This is a pre-solicitation /synopsis for services prepared in accordance with the format in subpart FAR Part 15, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. NOAA intends to solicit and award a cost plus fixed fee price contract under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15. This requirement is being solicited on a small business set aside basis. The North American Industry classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541519 size standard of $23M. The Government has a requirement for studies conducted under a Broad Area Announcement released by NOAA that have demonstrated that the potential exists for the commercial provision of data meeting NOAA?s solar wind observational requirement, and that such a strategy would have advantages to the government in cost and schedule. The Government is interested in establishing the credibility of private efforts to supply CME and ion data. The solicitation will be released on or about 29 May 2007.
