Description

Specifications PR# 1019070290 The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Contracting & General Services Office in Portland, OR has a requirement at the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge Complex, 6010 Hidden Valley Road, Carlsbad, CA 92011 to procure a portable bridge. All shipping and freight charges should be included in the pricing as F.O.B. Destination. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is tax exempt, therefore, no taxes shall be included in pricing. Abutments: Minimum on site abutment improvements limited to wood cribbing or "eco" blocks being capable if being placed by unskilled workmen with supervision. Abutment and adjacent ramp work to be accomplished by Refuge Staff. Assembly/Disassembly: Modular or prefabricated bridge capable of easy erection and placement by hand labor with minimal tools and equipment within 2-3 days of arrival at site. Bridge must have ability to be easily deconstructed and relocated. Structural capacity: HS 25 Drive width: 12 feet minimum Span: 30 feet Bridge Structure: Structural steel elements and fasteners must be corrosion resistant. Wood elements must be pressure treated. Decking: Manufacturers standard may be wood or steel capable of withstanding impact loads and specified wheel loads. Mechanically attached to structure to avoid displacement. Manufacturer/Vendor: Capable of delivering bridge to project site within 2 weeks of Notice to Proceed (NTP)/Award Have available on site technical assistance for assembly and placement of bridge. Destination: Project site is located at the Intersection of Highway 94, and Vista Sage Road, Jamul California. All bridge components, materials, fasteners, and connectors shall be delivered to the job site on flat bed trailer trucks or to the port of import in standard 40' shipping containers.
