Currently the MRD maint ains all medical records for Clinical Center patients into w hich clinical documentation is manually filed and provided t o researchers and clinicians. The MRD currently utilizes Softmeds ChartLinc, ChartScript, ChartFact/Locator, ChartView, ChartScan, and Electronic Sign ature Authentication- ESA products to provide interface capa bility between the Clinical Center Hospital Information Syst em -CRIS, the transcription management system, and other MRD related applications. These interfaces have been establish ed for many years and allow patient demographics, admission data, and medical orders to flow from the CRIS to the transc ription management and incomplete record tracking systems fo r generation of medical reports and tracking of incomplete m edical records. These established interfaces also enable di agnostic reports to flow back to the MIS for viewing by clin icians throughout the Clinical Center and enable clinicians to electronically review, edit and sign dictated reports.
