Description
PRON: AX7C0375AX, NSN: 3040-01-228-1729, P/N: 145D2306-3, QTY: Min:15 EA, Max: 135 ea., 5 Year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract, applicable to the CH-47, with deliveries to Texarkana, TX 75507-5000. This is a Critical Safety I tem. This item is restricted to The Boeing Company, Cage Code:77272 and Northstar Aerospace (Chicago), Cage Code: 22907. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge is essential to maintaini ng the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engine ering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. A Contractor First Article is required. Production Leadtime with First Article Testing is 15 each, 645 DACA. Production Lead-time without First Article Testing is 15 each, 430 DACA. Production Lead-time with Alternate II Clause is 15 each, 538 DACA. Firms that can produce the required item described above are encourage to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicit ations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under CAPSAR and Policy Relating to Source Approval Request (SAR) for Aviation requirements. The closing data annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of solicitation; however, solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above. Foreign firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies. Adequate technical data is not a vailable for this acquisition. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. NOTES: 23 and 26.
