Description
This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synopcom.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. The Government intends to procure on a sole source basis from ATK Gun Systems, Mesa, AZ 30mm MK 44 Mod 1 Automatic Guns, Spare Parts, and Special Tools and Equipment in support of the US Navy?s PM-317 (LPD), LCS and USMC?s PM-AAAV programs under a contract modification to the subject contract. The guns must be capable of interfacing with the MK 46 Mod 1 Weapon System and the MK 104 Mod 0 Gun Mount. The guns must be capable of firing 30mm x 173 family of ammunition at a rate of 200 shots per minute. The guns must meet safety requirements needed for U.S. Navy Weapon Systems Explosive Safety Review Board (WSESRB) certification. The gun must meet Navy performance characteristics (i.e. dispersion, ammunition handling, and power) and conform to interface specifications for the MK 46 Weapon System and the MK 104 Gun Mount. This contract action is for a quantity of eleven [11] MK 44 Mod 1 30mm Automatic Guns, three [3] lots of spares/support equipment, and one [1] lot retrofit kits. The contract will also require data. The government will require delivery of the contract quantity as follows: 18 months after the effective date of the contract modification. Contract award is expected on a FOB Origin basis with delivery to Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Indiana 47522. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency.
