Description
This notice supersedes the previously published FEDBIZOPS notices of 30 April 2007 for Twin Line Arrays and 12 June 2007 for Towed Array Production and Conversion. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command in support of Naval Sea Systems Command, Program Executive Office Littoral & Mine Warfare (PEO LMW), Maritime Surveillance Systems (MSS) Program Office PMS 485 and other Navy activities requires additional TB-29A and TL-29A arrays (and related engineering services) in order to support the surveillance and submarine fleets in achieving their missions and intends to procure those materials and services. The effort would include: ??? New procurement of up to five TL-29A arrays ??? New procurement of up to two TB-29A arrays ??? Conversion (and subsequent integration testing) of up to six submarine TB-29A arrays into three TL-29A arrays ??? Engineering support services ??? Provisioned Items Orders (PIOs) for TL-29A. The proposed acquisition would specifically provide for: ??? One new TL-29A array in FY08 with an option for one new TL-29A array or a potential conversion (vice a new array). ??? An FY 08 option for two TB-29A arrays for the submarine community. FY09 ??? FY11 would be option years which include one array conversion in each year with an option in FY09 and FY11 for three new TL-29A production arrays, one in FY09 and two in FY11 for foreign programs. There may also be a requirement during FY08 ??? FY11 for an unknown quantity of PIO items and for engineering services to complete conversion work and negligible repair efforts. The Government believes that Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems and Sensors of Syracuse, NY with their previous requisite knowledge and technical expertise is the only contractor capable of fulfilling these requirements without substantial duplication of cost and without unacceptable delays. It is anticipated this contract will be awarded in December 2007. The value of this contract is expected to be approximately $76,800,000. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334511. Please see Numbered Note 22. Response to this announcement should be addressed to Pamela Rose at pamela.rose@navy.mil.
